The Story of Redhorn Minotaur
In Mythos, Redhorn’s horns are a record of unfinished stories.
Each bronze ring around them represents an opponent judged strong enough to deserve remembrance. Most challengers expect the minotaur to collect rings for victories. He does not. He adds one only when the fight forces him to become more than he was when it began.
Redhorn serves at the Labyrinth of Twelve Voices, where ritual challengers guard routes that only open after a worthy contest. Weak intruders bore him. Powerful ones awaken the old narrative law of Mythos: the greater the hero who stands before the monster, the greater the monster the story requires.
His Challenge ability is that law made flesh. Against exceptional Power, Redhorn himself becomes stronger, not from rage but from role. He is at his most dangerous when the opponent is exactly the sort of champion legends would choose to face him.
The Convergence fascinated Redhorn because it brought heroes from stories his world had never heard. He has been adding rings ever since. There is still an empty space near the base of his left horn, reserved, he says, for “the one who changes the ending.”
