The Story of Titan Frame Zero

Titan Frame Zero was Brass Meridian’s argument with itself.

For decades, the machine-world built larger industrial walkers and smarter tactical engines as separate projects. Frame Zero was the first serious attempt to combine both: a siege chassis with locomotive-scale actuators and a reasoning core capable of deciding how to use them without a pilot.

The result frightened its designers.

Zero did not behave like heavy machinery. It repositioned cranes before structural failure, chose indirect routes around weak ground and once refused a test order because the requested strike would have destroyed the observation bunker.

Its Titan Protocol activates most completely when Power is the Arena’s primary demand. Instead of relying on a conventional secondary stat, the chassis couples raw force to half its enormous Mind, making every tonne of output tactically placed.

Officials called the prototype too independent for deployment. Brass Meridian foundry crews called that conclusion obvious from the moment they gave a siege engine judgement.

Zero was mothballed until the first Convergence crisis damaged three industrial districts. It woke itself, broke the storage seals and began rescue operations before receiving authorisation.

No one has successfully mothballed it since.
