The Story of Moonlit Dryad
Moonlit Dryad grows in two places at once.
Its physical tree stands in a hidden Verdant Reach grove, but the walking form appears wherever moonlight reflects from living water. The Dryad’s body is bark, leaf and silver blossom shaped around a spirit that never fully leaves its roots.
Moon Bloom is a deliberate imbalance. When Spirit serves as the secondary quality, the Dryad can pour its full spiritual presence into that role, making the supporting force unusually strong. The cost is real: the primary effort weakens because so much of the being is committed elsewhere.
Verdant shamans use the Dryad as a lesson against the idea that every strength can be maximised at once.
During a century of drought, Moonlit Dryad stopped appearing entirely. When rain finally returned, every pond in the grove flowered simultaneously and the walking form emerged carrying leaves from trees that had died decades earlier.
The Convergence changed its range. Moonlight from foreign Shards can now call the Dryad too.
It has begun returning with seeds embedded in its bark—plants that do not exist anywhere in Verdant Reach.
