Backstory

The Story of Mistbound Thief

Mistbound Thief stole a bridge once.

Not the stone.

The route.

Nocturne’s lower fog districts contain streets that appear and disappear as cold vapour changes density. The Thief learned to navigate by echoes, gutter flow and the temperature of brick rather than sight. One night, city guards chased them onto a bridge the fog had already erased from everyone else’s perception.

The Thief crossed.

The guards stopped.

From then on, the story became that Mistbound could steal paths from under other people’s feet.

Mist Step is less mystical than the legend. Speed-reducing Arena hazards simply resemble conditions the Thief already treats as normal terrain. Fog, drag, uncertainty and obstructed routes do not produce the usual slowdown.

The Warrior classification comes from a blunt truth: when cornered, Mistbound fights very well with two short blades and no theatrical interest in fairness.

A Thread once opened inside dense Nocturne fog and remained completely invisible except for the way droplets vanished through it.

Mistbound found it first.

Naturally, they went through without telling anyone.
