The Story of Ancient Mammoth
Ancient Mammoth remembers routes no living herd has walked.
Primeval shamans say the creature carries ancestral memory in the mineral bands of its tusks. Each layer records a migration season, drought, volcanic winter or lost watering ground.
Whether the explanation is mystical or biological, the Mammoth routinely chooses paths that have been buried for centuries.
Ancestral Weight makes that history active. On Power-primary Arenas, the Mammoth can surrender some immediate force and bring its full Spirit into the secondary calculation. The resulting contest feels less like one animal pushing and more like an entire lineage insisting the path remains open.
Its Power is immense, but Speed and Mind are limited in direct tactical terms. Ancient Mammoth does not improvise quickly. It remembers deeply.
During the Long Ash Winter, the creature led six unrelated herds through a volcanic region every younger animal avoided. Excavation later revealed an ancient migration road beneath the ash exactly where it walked.
The Convergence has created routes with no ancestry.
