The Story of Echo from Beyond
Echo from Beyond has no stable original shape.
Witnesses agree on broad features—long limbs, a dark body crossed by pale stars—but details change according to who is looking.
Far Void researchers believe the entity forms by observing resonance conditions around it. It does not copy power directly. It copies the reason power would awaken.
That distinction is Echo Void. If an opponent’s faction-synergy condition becomes true, Echo can reproduce the condition and answer with a smaller +1 rather than stealing the original numeric value.
The Scout classification fits because the entity learns by entering unfamiliar situations first.
Attempts to contain Echo have failed politely. The enclosure remains locked while the entity appears outside it, then looks back at the researchers as though they misunderstood something obvious.
No one knows whether Echo originates in the Far Void or whether the Far Void is simply where unstable identity can survive.
The Convergence has made the being more coherent.
Every new faction encountered adds detail rather than confusion.
Some researchers worry Echo is slowly constructing an original self from pieces of everyone else.
